Hidden Rose Garden Necklace : Red Blooming NecklaceThere is a special memory of a hidden garden discovered in childhood but grows more precious over the years. There is a park somewhere in California where kids beg their parents to take them so they can fly down this wonderful gigantic slope of concrete, smooth and slick from its constant use. But what is the true treasure of this park is the subtle surprise garden for the more cultured senses that can only be found if one follows a nondescript path through a bewildering tunnel to be greeted on the other side with a brilliant blaze of colors of an amphitheater of roses overlooking the San Francisco Bay. In the very center of this terraced circle of rose beds is a large ornate sundial which to my young mind was mystical and held great powers to hold in thrall its audience of all the blooms.
✹ The blooming necklace created here is in honor of those memories of running, playing hide-n-go-seek through the rows of roses in this hidden playground after one is tired of climbing the stairs of the wondrous slide.
✹ The roses, one large full red one with two pink tea roses at the sides, are woven with tiny seed beads, designed using my own pattern, each petal individually made to mirror its origin. The green drape of beads is also my own style of a unique artistic composition made to symbolize sun rays and the sections of rose beds. The chain is a simple St Petersburg stitch to support and grace the roses.
✹ Size: 19″ long (45.72cm) with a beaded toggle clasp.
